I've known "Smiley" Kris for 20 years.  As I searched for photos, it's hard to find a picture of Kris alone. Madison has always been her pride and joy, and now she is blessed with her sweet granddaughter Harper. "Koko", as Harper calls Kris, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer December 31, 2020. She had 2 emergency surgeries for colon removal and some of her liver. She was hospitalized for 2 weeks in the new year. While she has been helped with health insurance and sick leave, there are MANY other expenses mounting up.  She has completed 6 rounds of chemotherapy. Every week is huge to see how her numbers are doing. This week, sadly, she was unable to have her chemo. Yet the doctor's goal is for her to have 12 grueling treatments. Then .... there will be another long stage of $$$ medicines.  She amazes me as she still has her smile and positive attitude.  Meanwhile, she is suffering with neuropathy in her hands and feet, hair loss, fatigue, weight loss, vision problems, and lots of aches and pains. Her medical team has called her special, as she seems to be having ALL the side effects. Let us show Kris how special she truly is to us, and help her really the only way we can help her right now.
