Help an Ex-Paratrooper Rebuild His Life During This Critical Time

My name is Kris Bradley. I’m a 41-year-old father of two incredible children and a former member of the British Army’s Parachute Regiment. While I served my country with pride, life after service has been an uphill battle I wasn’t prepared for, and I’m reaching out for help as I navigate one of the hardest periods of my life.

My Current Situation

After leaving the Army, I faced severe mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression, which have made stability difficult to achieve. Life became even harder following my divorce, and while my ex-wife and I remain friends, I’ve been left without the platform I need to rebuild.

Recently, I’ve been homeless and have struggled to afford basic necessities like food and shelter. I’ve lost my belongings multiple times—just last night, everything I owned was stolen while I slept. I don’t even have a sleeping bag or coat, and the bitter cold of winter has been unbearable. Last night, I was forced to move from car park to car park with nothing but a jumper I found to keep warm.

What’s worse is that the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP), which helps keep rough sleepers safe during extreme weather, hasn’t been activated in Bournemouth. While this system exists to save lives, it has been withheld due to issues caused by some individuals stealing while in temporary shelters. This decision leaves people like me exposed to freezing temperatures, which could easily be fatal.

I’m trying so hard to stay positive, but the constant struggle is wearing me down. I lost my ex-girlfriend in January of last year, which has only deepened my pain. Despite everything, I’m determined to fight through and rebuild my life for my children and myself.

Why I Need Your Help

I’m reaching out because I need immediate assistance to get through this critical time:

1. A Safe Place to Stay I urgently need funds to get off the streets and stay somewhere warm and safe, even if just for a few nights. This would allow me to thaw out, wash, and regain some strength to continue moving forward.

2. Essential Living Costs With even small donations, I could buy food and basic necessities, such as a sandwich or warm clothing, to help me survive through this difficult period.

3. A Chance to Rebuild Long term, I’m still committed to finding stable housing and pursuing work opportunities that will allow me to support my children and myself. However, I need help covering the basics so I can focus on building a better future.

Your Impact

Every pound you donate will directly help me survive these freezing nights, recover some of my stolen belongings, and regain the strength to move forward. I promise to use these funds wisely and do everything I can to rebuild my life for the sake of my children.

This isn’t just about surviving—it’s about proving to my kids that even in the darkest moments, there is hope and kindness in the world. Your support, no matter how small, will mean more than words can express.
