I am reaching out to share the story of my dear friend, Jon Gomez, a 39-year-old devoted husband to Shanna and an incredible father to their two young daughters, Alise and Ellie. Jon is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Stony Brook Hospital, bravely battling a severe case of pneumonia that has led to organ failures. His condition is critical, and he may soon require an organ transplant to survive.

Just last week, Jon was admitted to the hospital with what seemed like a manageable illness. However, his health has rapidly declined, placing him in a fight for his life. Shanna, Alise, and Ellie are facing an unimaginable ordeal, standing by Jon's side with unwavering hope and strength.

As Jon focuses on his recovery, the Gomez family is confronted with mounting medical expenses and the challenges of daily life without their primary provider. We have established this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden they are enduring during this arduous journey.
