Kremenchuk's Hub of Hope
Donation protected
My name is Dasha. I am currently in the United States this summer doing a work program at Chick-fil-A. My hometown of Kremenchuk, Ukraine was recently transformed from a small town in central Ukraine to a hub for thousands of children and families displaced throughout my country who fled their war-stricken regions. These children and families arrive daily and desperately need housing and food.
Kremenchuk’s Hub of Hope is a fundraiser created to provide funding that will go directly to support the efforts of the Kremenchuk Youth Parliament to assist these families. So far, more than 13,000 Ukrainians have requested help from the center, almost 20,000 food kits have been prepared and distributed, and more than 3,000 internationally displaced children and families have been provided free housing through the Kremenchuk Youth Parliament. Also, the KYP has organized numerous events and workshops for kids from active war zones so that they can forget (at least for a couple of hours) about the horrors they have experienced.
With the funds raised, the KYP has agreed to use 100% of the funds to continue to provide meals to internally displaced children and families and provide essentials, such as mattresses and bedding, for those in need of items for housing. In addition, they plan to purchase additional items for their kid workshops that have become an essential part of the day (to keep the war off of their minds).
Thank you so much for your support and for adding a little more hope to Ukraine!
