For those who know him — and even for those who don’t — our family has been blessed with the most incredible man. Clay is an amazing son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, husband, father, and friend. For the last 13 years, he has been a source of strength, inspiration, and unwavering love to all of us.

Clay proudly served in the U.S. Army and completed a tour in Iraq. After returning home, he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, he has endured more surgeries, hospital stays, and doctor visits than anyone should ever face in 39 years of life.

On November 4, 2025, our family received heartbreaking news: the cancer that had been stable for so long is active again. This marks the beginning of another long, difficult journey for Clay, Adrianna, and for their two incredible children.

Despite unimaginable challenges, Clay has continued to live a life filled with purpose and heart. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a BA in History and a minor in English, and had been working toward his Master’s in Education — all while undergoing treatment. During these years, Clay and Adrianna welcomed their two beautiful children, Charlene and Henry. Clay has run multiple marathons, served his community as a middle school history teacher, and coached youth sports, inspiring young people both in the classroom and on the field.

Clay is the definition of resilience. He fights every single day for his family, for his students, and for the life he has worked so hard to build. He is humble, hardworking, and fiercely devoted to the people he loves.

After learning the cancer had returned, Clay traveled to MD Anderson, where Clay made the courageous decision to transfer his care and continue fighting with everything he has.

This road is not easy — physically, emotionally, or financially. That is why our families have come together to created this fundraiser: so Clay and Adrianna can focus on what matters most right now — Clay’s health, their children, and the precious time they have together.
