Milo’s Second Chance.

I’m Lara and my partner is Roy. After losing our beautiful white husky, our hearts were shattered. The house felt empty, and we knew we had so much love to give to another dog in need. That’s when we decided to rescue. That’s when we found Milo.

When I first saw Milo, it was through a heartbreaking post on social media. He had been dumped in a kill shelter, scared, alone, and completely defeated. His small body was covered in signs of neglect, but the worst part was his leg—dislocated, twisted the wrong way, and causing him unbearable pain. He had given up, too weak to hope for a better life.

I couldn’t leave him there.

Bringing Milo home to the UK was the start of his new life, but his pain didn’t disappear at the shelter’s door. Every day, I watch as he struggles to walk, each movement reminding me of the suffering he’s endured. He longs to run, to play, to simply be a dog—but his injured leg holds him back. The pain is constant, and without surgery, it will never go away.

Now, Milo has a chance. A real chance. But we need your help.

The operation to fix his leg will give him the freedom he’s never known—the ability to chase a ball, to run through the grass without wincing, to wake up in the morning without pain. It’s the final step in his journey from a discarded, broken soul to a happy, loved companion.
