KramerStrong: Diane Kramer's fight against cancer
Donation protected

After dealing with pain for the better part of a few weeks my mother, a tough as nails woman finally reached her breaking point the morning of March 21st. After initially being diagnosed with simple gallstones, further testing proved the worse as Diane was diagnosed with liver cancer. While this news was tough, the doctors were quick to come up with a plan of attack. Diane is currently working through the process and will soon be on the transplant list in hopes of receiving a new liver. The doctors hope that this procedure will be more than enough to eliminate the cancer entirely.
For a working class family like mine this diagnoses can be more devastating than normal as the costs associated with the fight will vastly exceed what my parents bring home in a year. In short, they need help. Not only will my family face the financial burden of the costs of the procedure, they will be doing it after losing my moms weekly income as the illness has made it nearly impossible for her to put in her normal 40 hours a week as a nurses aid at Christian Rest Home, a nursing home in Grand Rapids where she has worked for over a decade, including through the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic.
My mother is a fighter who holds strong and finds ways to come out of some truly difficult times. We believe fully that she will do the same with this battle which she has been diagnosed with, but that doesn't mean we can beat this alone.
Your donation will help ease some of the financial burden these recent events have brought on. Going towards the medical expenses, as well the living expenses such as utility, mortgage, and grocery bills which will come regardless.
On behalf of my father, brother, and of course my mother, we thank you for your generosity and support as truly anything helps. Thank you so much for your time and God bless. -Brandon Kramer
