Kraig Hoff Benefit

Kraig has always been a tireless and selfless caretaker for his family and the natural resources of Wisconsin. Never seeking attention, he strives to support the success of others, and his subtle ways and positive influence have clearly set his children on a successful path. In his professional life, Kraig has dedicated over 25 years of his career to monitoring and understanding Mississippi River ecology for the benefit of future generations.

Kraig was first diagnosed with brain cancer nearly 18 years ago following a massive seizure. At that time, the tumor was successfully removed by surgery in La Crosse, however, a routine MRI in 2011 revealed that it had returned. This time he underwent surgery in Madison followed by radiation and chemotherapy. After 10 years of positive news, the cancer was rediscovered in early 2022. Kraig has had subsequent treatments in La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Madison. Throughout most of this time, he’s been unable to work and he’s now out of leave time.
