On the morning of Jan. 1, 2026, Jammie came home from wrestling practice and as she entered the home, she spoke to her grandma (Sarah Zarway Larmie) briefly. She then headed upstairs to get ready for her day. Shortly after, she heard her brother yelling for her to come downstairs. When she got downstairs, her brother was attending to Sarah, who was unconscious. Both the family and medical personnel performed life-saving tactics before rushing her to the hospital. Ultimately, Sarah had suffered cardiac arrest and the family had to make the tough decision to say goodbye to their beloved grandma.

Needless to say, this is an extremely difficult time for the family mentally and emotionally, but their biggest challenge will be financially. With no life insurance, the reality of this burden will be overbearing for the family. The Ankeny Girls Wrestling Club would like to respectfully ask for your help in lessening this burden for them.
