Krackers fight aginst AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia)
Hello everyone! My name is Kathy Felan. I've known
Claudia "Kracker" for 15 years. I am setting up this
GoFundMe account for her in order to help alleviate
some of her medical bills due to cancer.
On December 28th, Kracker went in for her
routine blood work one day and received some scary
news. The doctor told them her blood work came back
abnormal and that she would need to see an oncologist
as soon as possible. That same night, both Kracker and
Lily packed their bags and drove straight to San Antonio.
They arrived at the ER at the Methodist Hospital in
hopes to be seen right away. They gave them a room that same night and began to run multiple tests on Kracker
along with more blood work.
On December 31st at 6:00pm, her doctor went in and
gave them the dreadful news. Kracker was diagnosed
with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She quickly began her
first round of chemo which unfortunately did not work
out as planned. She is currently on her second round of
chemo. This one is much stronger, but not as strong as
she is. She has kept a smile on her face throughout this
entire process. Through the good and the bad, she keeps her faith in God and knows that she will overcome this
battle.
Obviously, she can not work at the moment, and Lily is
caring for Kracker 24/7 at the hospital. With that being
said, I kindly ask that you all join me in helping them with
these expensive medical bills. Although she does have
health insurance, we all know it will not cover 100% of
the costs. Her medical bills will only continue to pile up
after she recieves her bone marrow transplant.
I ask that you please help with any donation
possible. Both Kracker and Lily thank all of you for your
kind words, texts, phone calls, visits, and packages, but
most of all, your loving prayers. I ask that above all,
please continue to keep her in your prayers.
