8th Grade CRMS/Selma Movie Trip
Donation protected
During the month of February, 8th Grade Clinton Rosette Middle School Students will learn about prominent African-Americans and their contributions during the Civil Rights era. We are going to enrich the classroom experience with an impactful historical film. We will be transporting students to see the film, Selma, a movie that depicts the 1965 battle for equal voting rights for African Americans and Dr. Martin Luther King's march from Selma to Montgomery. Students will learn about the historical importance of the march and the message of justice and equality portrayed in the film. Our vision is that we show students the importance during that tumultuous time of standing up for what is right as we move them towards the realization that those fights for justice are still important.
