Help Koda get the surgery he needs

Hi, on the 3rd of July our 6 months old puppy called Koda was sadly diagnosed with angular limb deformity in both front legs and the vets have estimated his complex surgery at £10,000 but our pet insurance will only cover £8,000. We are therefore hoping we can raise some money so we can get the treatment our little pup needs ❤️

Koda is a chow chow cross with cocker spaniel, he’s currently 6 months old and will grow into a fluffy chunky little boy. He’s so well behaved and loves all other dogs and people. Everyone he meets when he’s out falls in love instantly with his cuteness and can’t resist his demand for belly rubs (promise we’re not biased) Before getting him we took him to the vets for a check up, where we got told he was in good health. We also took out premium life long pet insurance but unfortunately the limit per claims is £8,000.

He has angular limb deformity in both his front legs meaning they aren't growing correctly. His elbows in both front legs have multiple issues causing them to grow at abnormal angle, therefore he needs corrective surgery to realign his bones and joints and prevent the condition getting any worse, he is already limping and struggling therefore not getting treatment isn’t an option as he will eventually no longer be able to walk. We’re first time dog owners and thought we did everything right but unfortunately it is one of those things we couldn’t see coming as he was born with it and it is only noticeable after a few months growth. We are so sad that our puppy isn’t healthy and is in pain.

We only want what’s best for Koda and we are of course doing everything we can to get as much money ourselves. Asking for help financially from others is our last resort and we hope that people can find it in their heart to give whatever they can afford to help Koda out. We don’t want to be faced with the heartbreaking decision of having him be put down.
