Matt & Jessie's baby bonding bundle
Donation protected
Hello family and friends, as you all know Matt and I are expecting our first child. We are so very excited for the baby's arrival, but we need a little help to make the transition into parenthood a little smoother. I am self employed and consequently do not get paid time off for the baby. I also believe that every new mother and father deserves maternity and paternity leave.
For two decades I have dedicated my life to caring for children. As a nanny and now a doula, I have seen first hand just how important it is to take the time to bond with newborn babies and to spend as much time as possible to establish a happy, healthy family unit. Over the course of my career I have cared for so many wonderful families' children, and now I believe it's my time to get comfortable and settle in to my new role as mommy.
Since we finally moved in together last year, Matt has had a rough time finding work locally. After working a couple of jobs just to pay the bills, he has recently accepted a great job. Matt is currently in his third week of the new job and it will take some time to catch up on saving money.
Our joyous day is just around the corner, as we are due in early May. We would love to be able to welcome our baby into our family with out any added stress. We did not set up a baby registry because we have gathered most of the essentials by accepting hand-me-downs and buying other pre-loved baby items second hand. Thanks to our pre-go-fund-me contributors we have already raised 500 dollars! Thanks to: Leah & Bob Slais, May & Hershel Zamechek, Bonnie Barnes, Bethany Kendrick-Simpson & Matt Simpson, Kellee & Jonny Cote, Pamela & Donald Keagan, Karen St. Pierre, Lisa Oquisanti, Shauna Stribula, and Joanna Szymanski!!
Please help us reach our goal of paying rent and bills for the first three months of our little one's life, we would be so grateful for your love and support. Thanks for taking the time to read our plea and considering our cause, our baby thanks you too!
