Hi, my name is Rakan. I’ve been a long-time friend of Jamar for about 7 years who’s seriously in need of help at this time. Back in 2023, his mother got extremely ill and became homeless as she could not work and pay for rent. Two months later, while in a shelter, his mother passed away, the only woman and family that he had left. After his mom passed, he was homeless, and I took him in for two years until there was no longer space in my mom's house, and he had to find a new place to go. He went to another friend's house for a year after that and got kicked out again due to space issues once again. Jamar reconnected with his older brother Devonte after not speaking to each other. When they finally reconnected, they decided to finally get a home of their own and split the rent in Richmond. Two months after he moved in and finally felt like he had a stable home, his brother was arrested, leaving Jamar once again with no home as the lease is all under Devonte's name, and Jamar doesn’t have the funds to pay for the home all by himself. On top of the arrest, they used tear gas to get his brother out, and they ruined his home and told him to throw out all his clothes as they are contaminated and can no longer be worn. Jamar had been saving for a car, and now he needs a new home and a car. Anything will help, a prayer, a donation, or any cheap places to stay around the Virginia area. I’m raising this money to get Jamar a car so he can at least get around and find a job that pays him well, as he has to walk and take the bus to work now.
