Relocation for Medical School
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and generous supporters, I am writing to you today to share an important and inspiring journey that I am about to embark on. My name is Holliday Maxwell, and I have been accepted into the prestigious Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. This incredible opportunity is a significant milestone in my pursuit of becoming a doctor and making a positive impact on the lives of others. However, I find myself facing a considerable financial hurdle – the cost of relocation. Washington D.C. is a 13 hour drive away from Carbondale, IL and this is the first major move of my life. Moving to a new city is a daunting task for anyone, but as a medical student, it brings with it additional challenges and expenses. The high cost of living, coupled with the demands of medical school, has put a strain on my financial resources. Though I have been working diligently to secure scholarships and loans to cover my tuition, the cost of relocating and settling into a new environment is beyond my means at this moment. Here is where your support becomes invaluable. I am humbly reaching out to you, my beloved community, to ask for your assistance in raising funds to help cover my relocation expenses. Your contribution will make a significant difference in ensuring that I can pursue my dream of attending medical school without the burden of financial stress weighing me down. The funds raised will primarily be utilized for the following: Moving expenses: Renting a moving truck, packing supplies, and transportation costs such as gas and food. Housing and utilities: Providing a safe and comfortable living space in the new city, including initial rent and utility deposits. Car Repairs: I currently drive a 2012 Chevy Cruze with a leaky oil pan. It is important that I have my car fixed in my rural town before I relocate to a major city. D.C. prices will surely be double or even triple the price of local repairs. By supporting my fundraising campaign, you are not only contributing to my personal journey, but you are also investing in the future of healthcare. As a medical student, I am committed to dedicating my life to serving others, improving healthcare outcomes, and making a positive impact in communities in need. Your generosity will enable me to focus on my studies and clinical experiences, ensuring that I have the necessary resources to excel in my training. No contribution is too small, and any amount you can donate will be immensely appreciated. Additionally, if financial support is not feasible for you at this time, please consider sharing my fundraising campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues who might be interested in supporting my cause. Together, we can make a real difference and help shape the future of healthcare. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my fundraising campaign. Your kindness, generosity, and belief in my potential mean the world to me. I look forward to updating you on my progress and sharing my achievements as I work towards becoming a compassionate and skilled physician. With heartfelt gratitude, Holliday Maxwell
