Justice for Chris Amyotte

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Venus; I am the daughter of Chris Amyotte.

Chris Amyotte was a member of Ditibineya-ziibiing, Rolling River First Nation in Erickson, MB. He had seven children and two grandchildren. My dad also leaves his common-law, our mom Amanda. My dad was 42 years old when he was shot six times with a bean gun by Vancouver Police in the Downtown Eastside Hastings. According to multiple witnesses, he had been sprayed with bear spray in a nearby building. Upon exiting, he behaved in an erratic but NON-aggressive manner. He was verbalizing he was bear sprayed and needed help. He removed his clothing and poured a jug of milk on himself in hopes of washing away the residue. My dad died while in custody of the Vancouver Police. He didn't deserve to die while asking for help. We are fundraising to help with any funeral costs, transportation back home to Manitoba, and legal fees, including a private autopsy report. Any remaining funds will be distributed to His children. We would like to thank everyone who supports and helps us bring justice for our dad.
