Heather's Medical Expenses

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Heather had a grand mal seizure at her house. She was taken by ambulance to the emergency room where she ended up having another seizure. After stabilizing her, she was taken to the ICU. Several tests were run, but no conclusion as to why the seizures happened. They did find a lesion on her brain during her MRI. A few weeks later after a second MRI, they discovered that the lesion had grown. She was immediately referred to a neurosurgeon and 5 days later underwent brain surgery. They successfully removed “Lenny” the lesion and he was sent out to pathology. On July 3, 2023, we received the bad news that it was brain cancer. Heather will be undergoing 6 weeks of radiation along with oral chemo. After which she will get a month off and will then start up a five day monthly cycle of the oral chemo for 12 months. Her insurance is not covering her chemo portion of her treatment, so we’d like to come alongside of her and help her on this journey.
