My name is Justin Lee, and unfortunatly my family and I are in need of some financial help. My family and their well-being has always been my highest priority.  I have worked hard all my life to make sure that I have been able to provide for them and give them everything within my means. This past week I was out at our new home which we are in the process of building and as I was finishing the exterior painting my ladder slipped and I fell 10 feet and ended up shattering my right ankle.  I had to have emergency surgery... and five screws later the doctor has let me know that under no uncertain terms it will be at least 5-6 months until I am able to return to my current job with the physical demands that it puts on my newly reconstructed ankle.  This is the only line of work that I have been in for the last 20 years.  At this point we don't know what the future holds, except that my family will be without it's primary source of income for quite some time.  Although my wife works part-time and we have some savings, with two teenage boys and a little girl there is not going to be enough.  We need help for the months I will be unable to work...
I believe in our system and believe that it is there for those who are going through hard times and need a helping hand.  I am not ashamed to apply for state assistance.  I have worked hard and put into the system, but unfortunatly when my family is in need of help they have told us that we will not qualify for any cash assistance to help with mortgages, fuel, utilities...  My wife and I have been very diligent with our finances and have always lived within our means. Over the last 13 years we have finally gotten ourselves into a position to be able to build our own home on property; however, with this turn of events we are in jeapordy of loosing it before we are ever able move in.
