HELP SUPPORT CHELSEA AS SHE RECEIVES CHEMO FOR OVARIAN CANCER.
Chelsea was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January. She was referred to a Gynecologic Oncologist at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. CT scans showed a pelvic mass. She had surgery on January 30th to remove both ovaries, an appendix, and a nodule on the uterosacral ligament. The biopsies were sent to the Mayo Clinic. The right ovary had stage two endometroid carcinoma. She will begin six rounds of chemo on March 21st, and each treatment will be twenty-one days apart.
For the past ten years, Chelsea has worked as a dental hygienist. She’s been unable to work since her diagnosis. There’s never been anything that stopped Chelsea from working, not even when she broke her foot. The next day, she returned to work with her leg on a scooter.
Chelsea has always been a healthy, fit young woman. At thirty-two years old, no one could have expected she would be diagnosed with cancer. With such an abrupt life-changing situation, you can imagine the emotional and physical changes to her body. Not only that, but also the mental toll this has taken on her friends and family. Appointments back-to-back, surgeries, lab work, prescriptions, physical therapy, and chemo are now her daily life.
We want to take away some of the financial burdens and help provide with day-to-day expenses. Any amount will help with food, utilities, and the unexpected costs of having cancer. Don’t forget to include Chelsea and her family in your prayers. Please donate now!
