Destination Imagination Global Finals!!
Donation protected
This amazing team of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders has worked tirelessly on their Destination Imagination project this year. Despite being a team of first-timers, they have won both the regional AND state competitions! Now we are off to the Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri in May!
Our team has been working on this project since October and has put in 5 hours of hard work after school each week to complete this project. They are unbelievably excited to participate in the Global Finals. However, this is a very expensive competition with daunting registration fees and travel expenses. Please support these young engineers as they take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show the world what they can do!
About the team's challenge:
Design and test your very own roller coaster, complete with unexpected twists and turns.
- Design and build a roller coaster that will be assembled and then tested during the presentation.
- Design and create a launching mechanism that starts moving a golf ball along the roller coaster.
- Test how far and how fast the golf ball can travel through the roller coaster.
- Create a presentation that shows what the riders would experience when riding the roller coaster.
