I am an Army veteran, my MOS was 91b/Medic/Combat Medic. I signed up when I was 17 and had to wait until after I turned 18 to go to basic. I really enjoyed my time in the service even though it was short. Basic training was at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Man it was hot there. My AIT training was at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. I'm 56 now and I have been unable to work because of health issues. I was admitted to the hospital on 6/17/2021 with an infection that requires IV antibiotics. I still have cellulitus on my leg, and a torn meniscus in my left knee, and after an appt with an ortho Dr, I was told I need BOTH knees replaced. I am in a tremendous amount of pain every day. And it's been that way for over 18 months now. I filed for disability back in April but was told it would be 4-6 months before I heard from them. I have also applied for financial assistance from the hospital but that hasn't started yet either. I have been looking for a job where I can work remotely from home since I don't have a car yet. Plus I can't be on my feet for too long because of my health. I am confident that I will find a job soon, but I need some help until then. I ask you to please share this with your friends and family and anything that is donated will be very much appreciated. Thank you and much love to you all ❤
