The Saint Nicholas Project for Medjugorje
Sunday, December 6, 2020 is Saint Nicholas Day. In Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina this is the main day for gift giving. The children there clean their boots and place them out on the night of December 5th so that Saint Nicholas can fill them with candy, fruit and gifts.
Medjugorje has only recently been opened to some pilgrims due to travel restrictions and therefore have suffered perhaps more than many economically. This year some pilgrims who have visited Medjugorje have started “The St. Nicholas Project” which has a goal of raising money to send there in order to help finance the gift packages of about 360 children. These children range in age from kindergarten age to ten years old.
Thank you and may God continue to bless and protect you and those you love.
