On May 29, 2021, our dear friends Luke and Mary Lopez learned that their youngest daughter, Ava Jane, has a rare brain tumor located deep in the mid brain and touching the brainstem and thalamus. Sweet Ava will be just 5 years old on June 21.
The family is still slowly learning the details about the specifics of the tumor and how to best go about attacking it. An MRI will take place today (June 1) to determine if the tumor has spread to her spine, and a biopsy is planned for Thursday (June 3) to try and gather as much information about the tumor as possible.
There is an ARMY going to battle in prayer for the Lopezes. There is NO underestimating the power of prayer. Our God hears every one, as Psalm 18:6 says:
"In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears."
With that, the Lopezes will undoubtedly be faced with medical bills and other unforeseen costs because of this diagnosis. So many people have already stepped up to provide for their basic needs with meal trains, etc. Now is the time to continue being the hands and feet of Jesus to this family and provide for them beyond what they would EVER ask for. What they are going through is hard enough...finances shouldn't even be a thing.
Your support and continued prayers are keeping this family afloat. Let's band together even tighter and help alleviate some of this burden.
