2020 FIERCE Outreach Program

Filipinx In Education Reaffirming Community Empowerment (F.I.E.R.C.E.) is UCSB Kapatirang Pilipino's annual two-day high school outreach program. This year we are looking to bring 50-60 underprivileged and underrepresented Filipinx high school students from all over Southern California. The purpose of F.I.E.R.C.E. is to encourage these students to pursue higher education by showing them that it is attainable despite socioeconomic challenges and their minority status, while strengthening their sense of community and Filipinx-American identity. FIERCE is FREE for all attendees.

The event will take place from April 25-26th, 2020 and our goal is $1000–only a small portion of the thousands of dollars that go into FIERCE! By donating, you are investing in the future generation of Filipinx-American students and leaving a lasting impact in your own community. Your money will go towards making sure that all the attendees leave feeling empowered and equipped to pursue all the different opportunities of higher education!
