Tinsley Faith's Fight with CDH

Tinsley's mother Michelle and father Trey have had a long journey.  Here is baby Tinsley's story.

At Michelle's 18 week ultrasound, Tinsley was diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).  The entire left portion of her diaphragm was missing, allowing her stomach, intestines, and part of her liver to enter her chest cavity.  This in turn caused her heart to be pushed to the right side but most importantly, did not allow for her lungs to develop.  This was just the beginning of this families up hill battle.  Michelle was admitted to Texas Children's in Houston where she stayed until Tinsley was born.  The decision was made for Michelle and Tinsley to undergo a surgery called Fetoscopic Endoluminal Tracheal Occlusion (FETO).  The surgery allowed for Tinsley's lungs to develop as much as possible while she was still in the womb.

On January 31st 2018, beautiful baby Tinsley was born in critical condition and placed on ECMO, an advanced life support machine for infants with life-threatening heart and/or lung problems.  In the short time since Tinsley was born, she and her family have been through far more than most families go through in their entire lives; her diaphragm was repaired, she received a trach, she has battled pneumonia multiple times as well as many other illnesses, she has been diagnosed with several different heart conditions, and through all of this she still prevails.

Several months after Tinsley's birth she and her family were able to go home and start enjoying life outside the hospital.  Michelle and Trey would take her on walks in her stroller, take her to family outings, and loved showing her the joys of family life at home.

Not long after Tinsley came home to their house in New Braunfels she was life-flighted back to Texas Children's in Houston for another medical emergency.  Michelle and Trey soon decided it would be best for them to sell their home and move to Katy to be closer to the hospital.  Tinsley has since been hospitalized on multiple occasions and is currently hospitalized and in critical condition.

In July she had to be put in a medical induced coma to allow her body to rest in hopes the medical team could find a reason as to why her oxygen saturation keeps dropping.  Tinsley underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure to resolve her SVC syndrome and explore any other possible unknown problems that could potentially be corrected.  Tinsley is currently in very critical condition.  She is battling infections, a virus, a newly diagnosed heart condition, and every effort is being made to keep her vital signs and respiratory status in stable condition.

Tinsley is a fighter with miraculous determination and she has time and time again shown us God's amazing work.

Michelle and Trey are the most loving and involved parents a baby could ever have.  If you follow the Tinsley Faith's Fight with CDH Facebook page you know just how amazing Michelle and Trey are and how much Tinsley has grown with their guidance.  Fortunately for Tinsley, she is beyond blessed with these incredible parents that love her so much and fight for her every day.

Please continue to help us raise funds for this family that has endured so much.  Parking alone per day is $26.  Between parking, food, gas, and medical expenses, your donations can relieve the financial burden and allow the family to focus on sweet Tinsley.  Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support.
