Hi my name is Max, some of you know me as Skwittles. I’m sharing my story to anyone who reads this because our family needs help to save our family pet Macy. I'm hoping you will take the time to read my whole story so thank you from the bottom of my heart for already making it this far.
My family and I woke up on Sunday March 27th, 2022 to our sweet and full of life dog in incredible pain and red and purple lesions/lumps all over her body. We had no idea what was going on and we rushed her to the pet hospital. After tests and support from an incredible veterinary team, we still don't know what's wrong with her but all indications is that she has an autoimmune disease attacking her body or cancer.
We are waiting for biopsy and further test results until we know if and how she can be treated, but as we wait her condition continues to get worse and the only thing we can do at this time is to pray that she can be treated.
We do not have pet insurance and my mom has already paid over $3,000 for her care already. It is very expensive and we need to keep paying for her treatment while we wait for the results and the additional costs if we are able to treat her.
She is the most amazing dog you will ever meet and is so important to our family. At only 5 years old she has so many more years to live, and we're all devastated by the situation. Losing her is not an option to us.
We don't know if she'll survive or what the total costs of the treatments are if the vets can save her, but we are hopeful that she will be able to pull through this.
