In Memory of Vikram Mel

On Dec 20, 2019, Vikram Mel tragically passed away at the age of 24 at his Columbia residence. Mel is the only son of all of our family friends Latha Janet and Vijay Samson. 

Mel is a very kind, soft-spoken and nice young man who made a lasting impression on all those who were around him. His genuine happiness, positivity, calmness, and self-confidence has been an inspiration to others.

Mel's loss will be felt deeply.  His mom Janet is our co-teacher in Richland One District, Columbia, SC. She has always been such wonderful support to teachers all the time. At this time of extreme grief and sorrow,  I invite all to extend support to this family.  We started this GoFundMe campaign as an additional means of helping to support this family through this difficult time. Your donation will go directly to Mel's family to help provide for costs associated with his medical care, memorial service, and other considerations.
