Hello everyone, our Lucy is a year old. She’s a playful and energetic puppy who loves to play ball and run outside. She is so much more than a dog to us; she is part of our family, which makes this so hard.
On July tenth, we were outside playing with the hose, and she ran in front of a car that was driving by. Her leg took the majority of the hit, and unfortunately, it's been a battle since. She tore a tendon in her back leg, which required a surgery that cost $3,176.00. We were able to get her the surgery, but it hasn’t stopped there. They bandaged her up, gave her antibiotics and pain medication, hoping the wounds on her leg and paw would start to heal. But unfortunately, she isn’t progressing as much as they would hope, and now they think it would be best to amputate her leg. We got an estimate, and they are saying it’ll cost $4,725 not including any after care visits she will need.
I’ve reached the max of funds, and I am turning here for any kind of help to get her the surgery she needs. Even through all of this, Lucy is still so happy and full of life, which breaks my heart to think she may not get the surgery she desperately needs. If anyone can help with anything, it would mean so much to us. Thank you!
