Okay, here it goes...

I have been dealing with medical issues for a long while. I thought I finally had it under control until Dec 26th, 2024, rolled around.

I woke up with classic symptoms of vertigo. I have had bouts on and off all my life, so this was nothing new to me. A few days in bed with meds and rest should be right as rain.

Except, a week went by. On the urging of my husband, I went to the ER where I was diagnosed with... vertigo. They recommended me to follow up with an ENT. Cool. Except another week went by, and I was only getting worse. Another trip back to the ER, along with a brain scan and a very dedicated doctor who really did run over everything they could. Again, a recommendation to go to the ENT and the typical vertigo cocktail.

The ENT visit came, diagnosed with vertigo, and went. By the time I came back to them a week later (now, almost 3 weeks of "vertigo"), I needed a wheelchair and couldn't walk without these odd spasms taking hold of me. The doctor then determined I did NOT have vertigo and told us to go straight to Frye.

What proceeded was an incredibly terrifying series of events for me. When I was admitted, I could put my feet on the ground for a short moment. By the time I was there for a few days, I was having what appeared to be full-blown seizures, the longest lasting 10-15 minutes.

I spent a week at Frye before they transferred me over to Winston, where within the first 20 minutes I was told of a disorder I had never heard of: Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) or Conversion Disorder. The kind version is my brain had determined that something was wrong, and since it couldn't figure it out, it created these events. I have tried to post the videos but they will not post and they're honestly too upsetting for me to watch to attempt screenshots.

A culmination of my prior health issues and mental struggles created a storm that my family was not prepared for.

Needless to say, I lost my job.

It has taken me the last 5 months to be able to go grocery shopping or to be able to clean my kitchen some. Even these outings or chores can have me in need of severe rest for 3 days or more.

My husband has been doing everything that he can to keep us afloat. He's now working 3 jobs and coming home to help with Autumn. We... have just gotten so far behind that we just don't know how we are going to get our bills caught up.

We cannot afford to be prideful. Our daughter is the light of our life, and she deserves more than her mother sobbing over the situation while stacking blocks. Our family has stepped up where they can, and we are so thankful, but we cannot ask them for more than they are able to give.

So, I am reaching out to all of you.

Help.

Please.

I am doing my best to get better so I no longer feel like a drain on everyone in my life. I am going to therapy, taking all sorts of different medications, trying to get into a new physical therapist, specialists to deal with my autoimmune disorders, and trying to find a job that I can do.

Against my own heart, I have even applied for disability.

But it isn't enough, and we need help.

We need money (who doesn't), but if we can raise just a few thousand to catch EVERYTHING up. Hell, at this point, an extra $20 helps at least buy diapers.

Thank you for reading this far. Thank you to everyone who has helped us, reached out, sent love, and just been there.

We love you.

Further update (6/9/25) : With everything you all have donated, we have managed to catch up our house, get groceries on the table, and feel a measure of peace of mind. We still have to work on our truck so any future donations will be put toward that, medical bills, groceries, and power.

Thank you all, so much!
