Kovacs the corgi

Hi, my name is Lu and my little partner’s name is Kovacs. For the 5 years, this guy has been my best buddy, my adventurer, my happy boy. Kovacs waddled his cute corgi butt into my life and saved me. Even in his last moments, he always kept the biggest smile on his face.

On Monday night, Kovacs started displaying pain, lost his balance and couldn’t hold himself upright. Tuesday morning, it worsened. On Wednesday, he went to the emergency room and was immediately transferred to neurology. An MRI was taken and showed that he herniated a disc and it severely impacted his spinal cord. Heavily sedated, I still had hope that he would get better. Thursday morning, his condition did not improve. The doctor suspected Kovacs was the 10% that was predisposed to Myelomalacia. Friday, his spinal cord started necrosis and his breathing was labored, ultimately, it was time to say goodbye.

My heart is completely shattered. The pain and grief with losing my happy boy is incomparable.

The funds will be used to pay his medical bill and for his ashes.
