Today we call upon our community to come alongside Erica Kovacs and her three young children, ages 12, 13 and 16. Erica and Benjamin Kovacs are part of our Pearl Realty family and in recent years we were honored to help find them a home in North Idaho. They were fun to work with, kind, hardworking and full of life raising two sons and a daughter.
On March 19, 2019 Erica lost her beloved husband of nearly 17 years to ALS with FTD. Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) is a brain disorder that attacks the nerves of the frontal lobes causing a progressive, untreatable decline in behavior, language and movement. Unlike Alzheimer's Disease that usually affects an older population, FTD is diagnosed among younger people in their 40s. Benjamin was 41.
In recent days he was being cared for by the loving doctors and nurses at Hospice of North Idaho. In his final days he was unable to eat or drink as the memory of swallowing was long forgotten.
As part of our client family, we now ask anyone that’s reading this to consider a financial gift for the Kovacs' as Benjamin was the sole bread winner. Let us surround Erica and show her our love and support.
