Kotah’s Semi Truck Wreck Relief

Dakotah Simpson was involved in a head on collision with an 18 wheeler on thursday may 9th. he is currently at the Memorial Herman Texas Hospital in Houston. he is blessed to be alive but sustained major injuries; a shattered left knee cap, broken left tibula plateau, dislocated and fractured left hip, fractured right foot, broken right hand, multiple deep wounds requiring irrigation and stitches, and a laceration to the spleen. he has had to have two surgeries so far putting plates screws and rods into his knee and hip, 6 bags of blood, he is currently laying with an metal external fixator going around and through his leg with pins, and will require at least one more knee surgery. he will be in a wheelchair for a while and he is in a lot of pain. he has casts on both arms and both legs.
Kotah is a sweetheart, he’s always there for everyone when they need someone!!!!
during the wreck, his glasses were destroyed and his phone was lost. if you know kotah you know his eyesight is terrible. we all know he is going to have massive medical bills and extensive physical therapy.
the person writing this is Holly Latham, i took off a week of work when the accident happened so i could stay in the hospital with him and care for him bc he couldn’t do things for himself at first and his parents have young children and jobs that aren’t as easy to get this kind of time off. but unfortunately that’s me missing a week of pay. i’m buying food for us both, and my parking spot is $30 for every 24 hours.
