Hi, my name is Shannan and I am Karyn’s cousin. On Saturday the 14th of March, Karyn went into labour at 27 weeks pregnant at the Mount Gambier hospital. She had to go in for an emergency c-section being put completely under while they delivered her baby boy, Korbin. Weighing a tiny 1.3kgs, he was flown to Adelaide flinders medical centre where he will spend 12 weeks, if not longer in the nicu fighting. Karyn was flown out the following day and has also been in hospital since but will be discharged in the next few days. I am wanting to raise some funds to take the pressure off and help Karyn pay for things like accommodation (they are subsidised but not free and she is still needing to pay rent back in Mount gambier while she isn’t there), travel expenses for her, her partner, their other daughter who is only 10 months old and other family members to travel back and forth from Mount gambier to support her during this time and any future medical bills she may have to pay for- Drs, physio, psychologists etc. please if you can spare even just $5 to help this family it would be very much appreciated.
