My parents, Chris and J.R. Koontz, have spent thier lives together as self-employed artists. They have supported thier family and lived happily doing what they love. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer 4 1/2 years ago he continued to work as much as possible while receiving treatment. However, as the disease has progressed his ability to work has declined. This past winter he came down with pneumonia on three separate occasions which has rendered his body too weak to receive any further treatment. He entered hospice care at home this past March with my mother as his fulltime caregiver. Illness is expensive and no one wants money to be an issue during a crisis so heavy as this and that is why we reach out to those around us, who know us and love us, and ask for your support as bills continue even when they ability to work does not. We want to share our heartfelt appreciation for all the love and support shown thus far <3
