Kolten’s Medical Expenses

My name is Annie. I started this page to help out my middle sister’s family. Katie and Brad’s son, Kolten, was taken to Avera in Sioux Falls on 3/21 for a colitis flare up. After nothing working there, the decision was made to fly him to U of M Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis on 3/24. Many different types of routes were taken to try and get things settled down. Unfortunately, nothing has seemed to work. It was decided on 4/9 the last step would be a full Colectomy, which will consist of 3 surgeries over the next several months. Each surgery will require at least a week stay in Minneapolis. The first surgery was done this morning. These funds will be used to help with uncovered medical costs, hotel stays, meals, gas, and additional time off from work for past and future visits to MN. Any help is greatly appreciated!
