Kole Robert Swartz was 6’5 feet of passion, muscle and commitment to realizing his dream of being a Defensive End for the University of Montana Grizzlies. A redshirt freshman, Kole, son of Sean and Jen Swartz and brother to Emma Swartz, was tragically killed in an accident on March 15. Kole was larger than life, fiercely loyal to friends and family, and always a source of joy and laughter for everyone he touched in his short 19 years.

The Kole Swartz Legacy Fund is designed to help Kole’s family defray funeral costs and to help to start a scholarship fund in his name at The University of Montana. Kole Swartz will live on in our hearts and minds and we know that Kole would want to make a difference for other kids pursuing their dreams at The University of Montana.
