Hello Friends and Family,
Most of you have had an opportunity to meet Kolbi. She is a 4-year-old Border Collie Bull dog with so much energy and love. Anyone who has met her knows that she has the kindest demeanor, loves to play fetch, loves to run up and down the fence, and loves to go for long walks. She does not enjoy much outside of being with us, her friends, playing and being athletic.
Unfortunately, 2 months ago she tore her ACL and can no longer do any of the athletic things that she loves. When dogs tear their ACL they do not recover like humans do. Over time her leg will eventually become lame. She has become anxious, is eating less and isolating herself. We hate seeing her go from having so much energy and life to being afraid of walking because of the pain she feels in her leg.
Fortunately, Kolbi can go back to being her normal athletic self with surgery. This surgery is called TPLO and will cost $3,000.00. Currently we are doing the best we can to make Kolbi as comfortable as possible until we can get her surgery.
We know that finances are challenging for everyone at this time and realize that we may not be able to raise the full amount for her surgery. However, any contribution that you can provide would help and be greatly appreciated.
We will keep you posted on Kolbi’s surgery, journey and her recovery period. We are grateful for any support, love and/or contribution that you can give.
