After witnessing the wake of the Kona Low Destruction, On behalf of my parents, Mike & Thalia Yanazaki, I, Chevelle their daughter, felt an overwhelming sense to create a GoFund Me Account to assist them when they begin the phase of recovery & clean up efforts. The second Kona Low Storm left incomprehensible damage to the ‘Aina that they have been blessed to steward for the past several years in Waialua.
Many things were destroyed, some of our beloved animals, mala (dry kalo patch), paddocks, banana trees, bee hives, fencing, farm gates, irrigation lines, mango trees, & farm tools/supplies.
Funds will be used to clean up the massive amount of debris scattered throughout the property, restore & protect the surviving mala, replant downed banana trees, & many more unforeseen projects. We have yet to assess the full damage of the destruction.
We humbly ask, for your prayers & support in helping us with the clean up & recovery efforts. Mahalo Nui for your Kokua and the community that has already shown up & supported us. We are sincerely grateful for each & everyone of you.
