Kokua For Rich

Written by Richard's nephew, Johann

Melanoma is real.

These are truly difficult times. People are struggling to navigate thru one personal crisis after another- this is yet another. My uncle  has been battling metastatic melanoma for a number of years. Multiple tumors have been tackled- if you know him his humor and resilience are such that you would never know he has been battling for his life. He is the one to support another before himself. Musician, Artist, and Humanitarian, amidst his health challenges over 12 years, he has continued to give and to make this world a better place. Richard suffered a stroke in late March at the height of Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. He was in the hospital all of April, isolated from family & friends. He recently returned home and requires full-time home health assistance- he has never asked for help: I am asking for him. Daily in-home care is costly and is not covered by insurance. Any donation would help to make his end-of-life journey a more comfortable one. You rock uncle Richard.
