Aloha Family and Friends,
Life was going great for our families. However, on December 12, 2020 we received a phone call from my sister in law that change our lives forever. Her husband and our brother Randal got devastating news that doctors saw legions on his liver and spleen during a routine CT scan of his kidneys due to kidney stones. On Jan. 4th, 2021 he had a liver biopsy and was sent to Straub Medical Center on Oahu for further diagonosis. On January 20, 2021 doctors confirmed that Randal has cancer. On February 10, 2021 Dr. Boddy (Onocolgist) diagnosed Randal with Stage 4 Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma. With deep sadness Randal has cancer in his stomach, liver, spleen and on his back (bone). He has a rare case and it is very aggressive. On a personal note: Randal did not have any signs that he was sick and would have his routine check-ups.
Treatment for my brother Randal is to do 8 cycles of Chemo therapy, which is about 6 months. He is on medication daily. He has to fly to Oahu to check with Dr. Boddy after his 3rd or 4th chemotherapy cycle to see if the cancer is shrinking. Once he is in remission Randal will then go to Seattle to have a bone marrow transplant.
We are asking for your prayers and financial support. The money raised will help with medical bills that they have incurred so far and later when he goes to Seattle. He will be there for 3 to 4 months.
We know that with your prayers and our faith in Jesus Christ Randal can overcome this. Thank you for caring enough to say a prayer for Randal, his wife Richele and his step son Reggie.
