My name is Rob McPeek. I am a longtime friend of Douglas Shirai. We have been friends for almost 40 years, and Doug has become like a brother to me.

Recently, Doug has been in and out of the hospital with a heart condition.

Doug is not one to ask for help but has always been a generous and kind person since I've known him.

On behalf of Doug and his husband Curtis, I am reaching out to everyone for your Aloha and kokua.

The doctors want to transport Doug to Stanford to see if he is a candidate for a heart transplant. It's necessary to transport him via Air Ambulance. This is why I am asking for your help. We have to raise $90,000 to cover the cost of the Air Ambulance and all the medical equipment needed to help transport Doug.
