Aloha,
My name is Kismet Lee, I'm 48 years old and reside in Maili with my husband Jeff, daughter Ayanna and niece Wisdom, whom I am fighting custody for. I was a healthy and active individual, non-smoker, and vegetarian.
In 2016 I started experiencing stomach pains, then pain in my left shoulder and lower back. I went to seek medical attention and got told that it was just acid reflux. About two years slowly go by and I was still experiencing the same pains but more intense over time. It was then when my doctor finally had me do an ultrasound and they had found a tumor in my stomach. Biopsies were done and there was no sign of cancer. I decided to have the surgery to get the tumor removed in August 2019.
As I was preparing for the surgery I fell ill with sepsis, after recovering from that I was hospitalized with pneumonia. By the time we were ready for the surgery we had to do a ct scan and ultrasound and it had showed that the tumor had spread to my left lung, stomach and spleen. The tumor was so big that no surgeon wanted to do the removal due to the risk of me not making it through.
In February 2020 my oncologist diagnosed me with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and told us I only had 3 months left. My strong faith in our lord, my loving support from my family and my will to fight is what has gotten me through these hard times. Up until now I am continuing chemotherapy and eating on a strict diet.
On May 31st 2021, I had my first stroke, I was hospitalized for 4 days and then sent home. Since being home, I had 2 seizures and on June 8th I had another stroke which has me currently hospitalized again and temporarily blind. I still have faith that I can overcome this obstacle and know that it will take time for recovery.
Everything that is fundraised/donated will be going towards all hospital and treatment bills
Thank you in advance for everything!
Love, Kismet & Lee Ohana
