My name is Chloe and I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of our work team for Koichi, his wife Yuki and son Rio.

57 year old Koichi Kurata was diagnosed with Metastatic Gastric Cancer in August 2022 and has just been given a terminal diagnoses. Koichi is now receiving palliative care at home with his wife Yuki being primary carer. As you can imagine this has had a huge emotional, physical and financial impact on Yuki and her family.

Being born and raised in Japan Koichi is well known for being a “workaholic” but once Rio was born he wanted to spend more time with him and that’s why he moved his family to Australia. He chose family over a career which he was already very successful in.

All donations will go towards helping pay for medical expenses, ongoing household and living expenses, as well as supporting Yuki while she is off work caring for Koichi.
