Dearest Friends and Family,
As some of you may already know, our mutual friend Kodi Seamons was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The diagnosis came very suddenly, and has created a considerable hardship for Kodi, her husband, and her three small children.
Kodi first woke up last Thursday with some dizziness. Over the next two days she progressed to having blurred vision in her right eye, headaches, nausea, and eventually the loss of 95% of her vision.
She is being treated for her newly diagnosed MS at the University of Utah Hospital. During her stay she has already had CT Scans, MRIs, and lumbar punctures to try and get the answers needed to help her heal.
MS is a disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord. It can cause permanent damage to the nerves. Treatments may help improve the effects over time, but they will not cure it. Kodi is currently receiving PLEX treatment, and the hope is that this will help reduce the swelling, and restore some of her vision.
There will continue to be treatment and care needed for Kodi as she navigates this diagnosis. To help provide some peace of mind for Kodi during this recovery, please give what you can, and if you can’t donate, please share this GoFundMe so that we can reach more people.
