Help Fund Kodas Lymphoma Treatment

Over the past few months, I have had to remove around 9 skin cancers from Koda. The most recent operation was in January 2024, and I thought we were in the clear after this. However, after returning from a month of training, I discovered Koda's lymph nodes were all swollen. After examination today(April 29, 2024), Koda was diagnosed with Lymphoma, which is life ending if not treated quickly. In just this week, I will have spent over €1200 just for his examinations to determine his treatment. In order to subsidize this upcoming treatment, which will involve chemotherapy and possibly weekly visits to a hospital an hour away, I have created this GoFundMe. I am unsure of how much this therapy will cost, so I have started with a goal of $2500, but it isn't uncommon to spend up to $10,000. So, this goal might need bumping depending on the extent of treatment needed.

For anyone that knows Koda, they can attest to the fact that he's the best dog in the world. He loves everyone, especially kids. He never behaves badly and is overall a calming and therapeutic spirit to be around. There's never been a stranger he has met, and has legitimately made people cry with how sweet he is(they might have had a drink or two, but still.)

He's also pretty cute. Several years ago, Koda went viral with a video of him at the groomers looking oh so upset. After being shared by 9Gag, USAToday, Vox, etc... Koda's video amassed around 70 million views.

This diagnosis has been very difficult for me, as Koda and I have been best friends as long as we have been together. Living alone and being stationed overseas, Koda has been the only constant individual in my life for 8 years. We do quite literally everything together, and that's how so many people know Koda. He is, as cliche as it sounds, so much more than a pet. He is family.

All donations will go towards paying for his treatment. I am unsure of how much it will truly cost, but is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars. I will update the GoFundMe as I know more.

In an effort to provide you with something besides the gratification of helping Koda, I would like to offer a few gifts.
