Michael Pratt - Medical Expenses

Michael "Koda" Pratt is a caring friend, a loving husband and brother, and an Austin musician whose life quickly changed following an unfortunate accident from which he suffered major injuries during the night of May 18th. After attending a concert in Austin Wednesday night, Koda was attempting to enter a vehicle of which the driver was unaware and began to take off. After just a flash of what seemed like only 2 seconds, Koda was able to let go of the car but had fallen face-first into the asphalt causing multiple injuries such as fractures in the jaw, a broken cheekbone, 3 fractures in the head, a broken temporal bone, and 90% hearing loss in his left ear to name a few. Koda was rushed to the hospital where he underwent intensive reconstructive surgery which left him with 4 plates and 8 screws in his jaw and his mouth wired shut for 4 weeks.  Fortunately, health insurance was able to take most of the financial burden off of his shoulders, but there is still alot left to pay and being unable to eat solid food and restricted to bed rest for the next 4 weeks, he is currently unable to continue working his day job at Guitar Center. Any money raised by this campaign will be used to cover the medical bills that the insurance did NOT pay, as well as some basic necessities he will need to recover while being out of work. Koda has been one of my best frinds for many years now and it's hard to see someone you love in this kind of condition; Unable to work and unable to do a lot of the things he enjoys.
