Koby Barnfield

 

 

Koby- a young man headstrong, determined, energetic, and full of life. Koby is a lover of all sports, but shooting hoops tops the list. Koby loves to laugh and crack some jokes. Koby is everybody’s friend and will give you the shirt off his back.

“It’s all about being in the background so Jesus can take the lead”. Lacrae 116 said it best!!!

​Koby was hit by a vehicle on December 6, 2019, which put him in a coma for 4 weeks. His injuries were severe. He received head injuries TBI (traumatic brain injury), fractured skull, brain bleeds, bruising and damage to brain stem, and cerebellum partial diffusion (sheering of the nerves in the brain). Koby received multiple bodily injuries: broken collar bone, broken pelvic bone, broken tibia and femur, and knee damage (screws had to be inserted).  

Koby has limited bodily functions. He has to have a trach, feeding tube, and Cather. He has lost the ability to speak, eat, and function for himself. Koby’s right side of his body does not function at this time.

By the mercy, grace, and healing powers of Jesus, Kobyhas awakened from the coma and has been transferred to TouroMedical in New Orleans, Louisiana. Koby will go through extensive rehab to learn how to talk, eat, walk, and regain some function again. This rehab will be on going for months.

The doctors have said the best recovery for Koby is to have his family with him as he goes through the recovery process. Koby’s family also needs to be by his side to properly learn how to care for him. His family is striving towards him coming home with their assistance.

Touro Medical is 4 hours away. Someone in the family must be with him every day for the upcoming months.

Koby will have a testimony and God will receive the glory for his miraculous healing powers and his never ending love for his children, In Jesus Name!!!!!!!!!!!!
