Hello friends,
This is Kobe, a Shiba Inu with serious skin problems. Her previous owner kept her outside for the past 8 years and fed her with leftover human food. While the kids in the house loved her, she was going to be abandoned when they moved to a new house. We could not let that happen!
Kobe was not spayed, was diagnosed with pseudopregnancy few years ago, and her vaccinations are not up to date. My friend and I took her to the vet, from the initial test we learned that she has flea allergies and exacerbated by fungal infection. Despite all of that, Kobe is loving, sweet, gets along with other dogs, and is only curious about cats.
Kobe is currently with her loving foster family, and already we are seeing some hair grow back on her tail. We are still working to find her a forever home! She is looking and feeling better, but without some support, she will not get the treatment she needs to get well.
We are looking for assistance for her long recovery- it’s a journey to be sure, and we hope you want to take it with us (and Kobe!). The funds will be used to cover her medical expenses, any help will be greatly appreciated. We will share with our donors the receipts, and proof of payment that we get- this our first rescue dog, but we are working with the Bay Area Shiba Meetup and Friends and all of the good folks there to find not just a foster home, but a forever home for Kobe.
Thank you very much,
Carrie, Cindy and Kobe
