Koalas of NYC (now global!)
Koalas of NYC is an initiative with a simple purpose: Raise awareness around the devastating bushfires in Australia, and unite the global community to help save the wildlife affected.
A campaign that began in New York City has now expanded around the world. Plush koalas began popping up in cities such as London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas with simple instructions to spread awareness and donate to WIRES - the largest wildlife rescue & rehabilitation charity in Australia.
It is a non-profit organization providing rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian fauna. All animal rescuers and carers are volunteers and operate 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals in distress. WIRES' mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. Thank you for your support in helping Australian wildlife!
