Koa the Warrior

Hi, my name is Stacie and I'm fundraising for my sister's son, Koa. Koa has been diagnosed with T cell ALL, infant leukemia. Koa will be in the hospital for 2 years undergoing his treatment, and is currently receiving his first round of chemo therapy. Good news is he likes the taste of his prednisone! So watch out Arnold Schwarzenegger… We’re going to have a new muscleman in town! The nurses, oncologist, and surgical team have been amazing and we’re confident that Koa is not only going to survive, but THRIVE!!

Koa is 7 months old and an amazing brother to his two other siblings. My sister will be mostly living in the hospital (in the United States, where she and her family live) and as you can imagine, there is a long road ahead of us. The hospital is an hour away from their home and medical coverage in the US is different than in Canada. In this two year process ahead of us, we can only anticipate the stress of medical, food, and travel costs etc. Any aid whatsoever to help lessen this burden would be so helpful. Most importantly though, is to have Koa in your heart and prayers, sending out positive energy and LOVE to our family and above all my sister, her husband, and children.
